Presidents Report – Ken Grieve 1988-1989

Posted By: Kevin · July 31st, 2010 · Comments

It is with great pleasure that I present this Annual Report as President of the Apex Club of Mooroopna. I have thoroughly enjoyed my year as President. The friends I have made and the new acquaintances I have made this year have made it very rewarding.

I would like to thank all my Board Members who have assisted me greatly over the year. Also the members who have assisted by filling in when required and attending Working Bees and Social Functions.

To my Secretary Jim Hepworth for an excellent job which was very much appreciated. Jim made my position a considerable amount easier and later in the year when he helped out as Treasurer when Michael Hall took on a new business in Melbourne. Thanks also to Michael who contributed well whilst he was in Apex.

Thanks also to Mike Nethersole who took over as Service Director when Peter Grey had to resign due to work commitments. To Jim and Mike many thanks for filling those portfolios for the remainder of the year.

I was fortunate this year in having the Combined Service Club dinner to host in September. My thanks to those members who assisted with the organisation that evening.

It was great to see some "hands, on" service work done this year at the retirement village and also at the Scouts and Guides complex.

The highlight of this year would have been the visit of Trevar and Eddie from the Apex Club of Burnie. Many thanks to the members who entertained and billeted Trevar & Eddie on their visit and to members who attended Social Functions whilst they were here.

I would like to thank the members of the Apex Club of Mooroopna for a very enjoyable year in Apex, and would like to wish David and his incoming Board the best for the following year.

Yours in Apex

Ken Grieve
